| | Haddonfield Lion elected to serve as District 16C Officer
Lion Karen Ressler, PCS, has been elected to serve at the 2nd Vice District Governor of Lions District 16C for 2011-12 at the NJ Lions State Convention. Karen has served on the 16C Distict cabinet for the last 3 years as the District Sight Chairman, Cabinet Secretary and Zone Chairman. With the planned redistricting, Karen is in line to become the last District Governor of District 16C in 2013-14, when she attends the Internation Convention in Hamburg Germany in July 2013. Lion James E. Jones We will gather for the Lions Eulogy at 6:00 pm at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services on September 30. Lion Jimmy became a member of the Haddonfield Lions Club in 1996 and was sponsored by Carl Nieukirk. He will be sadly missed by us all. | On Sept. 25, 2010, age 59, a resident of Haddonfield, father of Jennifer (Daniel) Sutterley of Cape May Court House, NJ and James E. Jones, Jr. “Jay” of Pittsgrove, NJ. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Cossette, Connor, and Savannah and 2 sisters, Joanna Jacobs of MI and Janice Friend of Berlin, NJ.
Jim had been a longtime employee of Carl’s Sunoco Station in Haddonfield before he became its owner in 1995. Additionally, he was an antique car aficionado and a member of the Haddonfield Lions Club & the American Legion, Westmont Post #230.
Jim’s family will receive friends on Thurs., Sept. 30th from 6-9PM at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. His service will be held on Friday morning 11AM, in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, 124 E. Kings Hwy., Haddonfield, NJ. Interment, Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. Memorial donations may be made in Jim’s name to the Haddonfield Lions Club, PO Box 401, Haddonfield, NJ 08033 or the American Legion, Westmont Post #230, 5 Locust Ave., Haddon Township, NJ 08108. | | | In Memorium  Lion Floyd F. Ford, Jr. 1926-2010 Lion Floyd was a truly dedicated Lion, and we will all miss his wisdom, council, humor and self-less service to others. He joined the Haddonfield Lions in 1987, and served in numerous club offices, including President, Sight Chairman, Director and Parliamentarian. As creator and editor of "The Lions Roar", Floyd kept eveyone up to date. He was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship award in 1993, and was a 5-Member Key Holder. Lion Floyd also served at the District level as a Zone Chairman, and as a trustee on the District Charitable Foundation. | A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Haddonfield Baptist Church, 124 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, where relatives and friends may visit the family one hour prior. The Lions met before the service for the Lions Memorial ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haddonfield Lions Club, P.O. Box 401, Haddonfield, NJ 08033.
